Director Christopher Nolan’s next film will be a short documentary on stop-motion animation, called Quay. Thus, it won’t be an expensive film like Interstellar that was released last year.

Quay is a short film based on the work of Stephen and Timothy, who are identical twin stop-motion animators. The film is already completed and is ready to screen soon.

The twins have been making short films on stop-motion animation for decades. Their work is expected to be highlighted through Nolan's documentary on August 19, on the occasion of Brothers Quay retrospective that goes for week at the Film Forum in New York City. Nolan is also curating the film forum series, “The Quay Brothers - In 35MM.”

The film forum series will include screenings of In Absentia (2000), Street of Crocodiles (1986) and The Comb (1991). After the world premiere of Quay, the Quay brothers and Nolan will attend the question and answers session.
