It was known during 16 Sep 2013 that Yusra (Yousra) who's an Egyptian actress and singer would be joining in the short film festival Tropfest Arabia as coordinator when the third edition commences during November in Abu Dhabi. It would intending for an enlargement of  Tropfest which otherwise happens to be the world's largest short film festival. Furthermore, the regional version of the event would view films from the Middle East along with North Africa region being screened accompanied by a winner selected during the star sparkled finale.  

Furthermore known that Yusra would be working accompanied by Tropfest founder John Polson to select this year’s shortlist of finalists. In succession to that the finalists’ films going to be screened for the first time during the festival to a live audience and a jury of well-known Arabic filmmakers, actors, directors and producers, would select the winning film live on the night, which would also include a music programme.

Yusra expressed in a statement that the Tropfest Arabia festivals of 2011 and 2012 justified that the Arab world’s appetite for media, film, and entertainment is growing immensely in each day.
At the same time creativity in this region is growing vigorously and at the present time is the time to get involved. She can’t wait to experience the works of the young and talented filmmakers in their region as well as see their interpretations of ‘time’ through their use of the Tropfest Signature Item otherwise TSI.  Polson said that TSI, which this year is ‘time’, must be integrated into each submission. Favorable reception of the submissions have begun. It was emphasized that the participants must be citizens of the Middle East and North Africa (Mena).
