All you "rock n roll" fans, here is a news to rejoice!
Kevin MacDonald, the same guy who directed "The Last King of Scotland", has agreed to direct Elvis Presley's biopic titled - "Last Train to Memphis."
Inspired from Peter Guralnick biography (1995), adapted by John Fusco, the biopic will chronicle Presley's early years and his “transformation from a high school kid to an overnight sensation.”
The movie is being made by “Rolling Stones” vocalist Mick Jagger He is joined by partner Victoria Pearman and Steven Bing, who will produce under his Shangri-La banner.
The hunt for young Elvis Presley is already on.
Prior to this new directing gig, MacDonald teamed up with Jagger in a TV movie that follows The Rolling Stones' frontman during the recording of his 2001 album "Goddess in the Doorway".
