Chicken broth: 10 cups
Chopped onions: 1 cup
Sliced celery: 1 cup

Dried thyme leaves: ½ table spoon
Bay leaf: 1
Chicken chopped: ¾ pound

Method of preparation of Chicken and Rice Soup
Take a Dutch oven.
Mix onion, chicken broth, celery, carrots, onion, parsley, thyme, pepper and bay leaf in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil.
Keep the flame low until the onion and celery begin to soften. (10 to 15 minutes).
Stir chicken and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
Remove and discard bay leaf.
Stir rice and lime juice into the broth; Garnish with lime slices.
