Every Indian knows Mysore pak, a famous sweet that originated in Mysore, Karnataka. Most of us even love the sweet, which melts deliciously in our mouths. It is made using three simple ingredients, probably available in every kitchen. Check out the recipe of this irresistible Mysore Pak recipe, made using microwave.
Ingredients required to prepare microwave Mysore Pak
Gram Flour (Besam, Kadalai Maavu): 1/2 cup
Powdered Sugar: 1 cup
Ghee: 1/2 cup
Milk/ Water: 2 tsp
How to prepare Mysore Pak
Melt the ghee in a hot pan and keep it ready. Also grease a box or tray with little ghee to set the Mysore pak.
Take a microwave safe bowl, add 1 tbsp ghee, mix the gram flour. For a minute, Microwave on high power. Roasted aroma of the gram flour can be smelled.
Keep adding milk and ghee to the bowl. Mix until you get a smooth paste free from lumps.
Mix remaining ingredients and 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder as well.
Once again microwave the mixture for a minute in high power. Mixture begins to start thickening and ghee begins to float on the top.
Again mix well with spoon and microwave for a minute. Repeat the process, but microwave for half minute.
The mixture gets to become bubbly and foamy. This is perfect to transfer it into the greased plate.
Allow it to set and cool for 10 minutes.
Use a clean sharp knife to cut into desired shape.
Leave it for more 5 minutes, before removing the pieces from the tray.
