Mercedes-Benz on Tuesday launched the AMG C 63 S E Performance in India priced at Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). Delivery of the world's most powerful four-cylinder sedan (large series) will begin in the second quarter of 2025. The AMG C 63 S E Performance has an engine at the front and an electric motor at the rear. The hybrid unit produces 680 hp and 1,020 Nm of torque, which guarantees acceleration from 0 to 100 in just 3.4 seconds. The four-cylinder engine produces 476 hp. This handcrafted machine features an electrically assisted exhaust turbocharger. The rear-mounted electric motor produces an additional 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It has an electric two-speed transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential. The powerful 6.1 kWh battery weighs only 89 kg. It delivers a continuous power of 70 kW and a maximum power of 150 kW in 10 seconds. The electric range is 13 km, which is ideal for city traffic.

The engine can be dynamically adjusted via eight driving modes: Electric, Comfort, Battery Hold, Sport, Sport+, Race, Slider and Individual. For the first time, the AMG C 63 is equipped with the fully variable 4MATIC+ with drift mode. The AMG Ride Control suspension has an adaptive damping system with three adjustable levels: Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The standard AMG Driver's Package enables a top speed of 280 km/h. The rear axle steering allows a steering angle of up to 2.5 degrees. The car is equipped with 20-inch AMG forged alloy wheels, Nappa leather sports seats, carbon fiber interior and a head-up display. Unique color options such as AMG Matte Graphite Gray Magno are available for customization. The infotainment system with MBUX has two 12.3-inch screens. The Burmester 3D surround sound system has 15 speakers. AMG sports seats in nappa leather with seat ventilation are standard. Each C63 can be customized to the owner's preferences with upgrades such as the AMG Ceramic high-performance composite braking system. The safety package includes active brake assist, Pre-Safe, seven standard airbags and a 360-degree camera system.
