After successfully launching the Altroz Racer in the Indian market with 6-speed manual transmission as standard, Tata may also launch a hatchback model with 7-speed DCT transmission. The company has not revealed any official details regarding this yet. However, some reports say that some tips could be removed soon. According to Teambhp, Tata Motors Chief Commercial Officer Vivek Srivatsa has revealed that the automaker may introduce an automatic transmission in the future. However, the execution of the plan can take place after the approval of the customer's application. He also explained that the brand wants to launch the Altroz Racer as soon as possible and a 6-speed manual transmission is the fastest option as it is costly and time-consuming. The Tata Altroz Racer was launched in the Indian market at a base price of Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom), while the top model costs Rs 11,000 (all ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the vehicle as the company has started booking.
The Altroz performance model stands out in its segment with several notable elements in the interior. It comes with a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and is supported by all Wireless Car Connect technologies. The driver's side is equipped with a 10.16-inch fully digital instrument console. This car is equipped with a 1.2L turbocharged gasoline engine that produces a maximum power of 118 horsepower and a maximum torque of 170 Nm. This is the same engine used throughout the Nexon. This unit is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
