In 1998, Salman Khan, along with Hum Saas Saas Hain actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bandar, were accused of poaching black bucks in a village in Rajasthan. This case has been going on for 26 years and Salman has been arrested, bailed, acquitted, convicted and released on bail. The actor has also received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnavi gang, which treats the blackbuck as a sacred animal and apologized to Salman for the incident.
Amid all this, Salman's 2008 interview resurfaced on social media and was shared on Reddit, in which Salman denied shooting Blackbuck. In the video, the interviewer calls Salman a "victim of ignorance" and says he doesn't think he would have shot Salman if he had known he was in danger. Salman replies, “Long story. And... I wasn't the one who shot the black people." When the journalist pointed out that he never took responsibility by blaming others, Salman replied, "That doesn't make sense," he simply replied . His laid-back demeanor remained the same when asked about his experience in prison, which Salman sarcastically described as "a lot of fun." , has sparked a new debate and netizens on Reddit are speculating about the truth behind Salman's involvement in the Blackbuck case, with many of his fans defending him and saying he is innocent.
Last week, Salman received a threatening message demanding Rs 500 million to resolve his dispute with Lawrence Bishnavi. However, Mumbai Police later received more messages from the same sender claiming the threat was sent accidentally. On the professional front, Salman is busy hosting Bigg Boss 18 and gearing up for his next Eid release 'Sikandar' with co-star Rashmika Mandanna.
