Top singer KK breathed his last at the age of 53 on the night of Sunday after completing his concert in Kolkata. The post-mortem has been conducted yesterday and his mortal remains were handed over to his family last evening. The reports said that KK suffered a massive heart attack and the doctors said that he was brought dead to the hospital. The last rites are held today afternoon and the entire music industry paid their last repects to the legendary singer at his Mumbai residence. His colleagues, fans and friends are left in a state of shock with the sudden demise of KK. The last rites of KK are held at the Versova crematorium and his wife, kids, close relations bid an emotional goodbye for the top singer.

KK's son Nakul performed the last rites of KK. Top singers Javed Ali, Hariharan, Alka Yagnik, Rekha Bharadwaj along with Bollywood celebrities Kabir Khan, Vishal Bharadwaj, Himansh Kohli and others reached his residence to pay the last respects. A gun salute was accorded for the late singer at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata yesterday. The postmortem report said that KK suffered a massive heart attack. There are reports that the singer died because of myocardial infraction but the postmortem revealed that there was no foul play behind his death. The clinical examination told that the singer had prolonged cardiac issues.
