At the 68th Cannes Film Festival on May 19, Indian film ‘Masaan’ was screened in Un Certain Regard section. The movie has got a five minute standing ovation from all the people who were present in the hall.

The movie, Masaan, is a different story embracing three crucial characters, one about the Dom community in Varanasi, next about a receptionist (essayed by

Richa Chadda) whose life gets new turns after romance, and the third one comes across Richa’s father (played by Sanjay Mishra) who works as a pandit selling puja material at the ghats.

Director Ghaywan, Varun Grover, Richa Chadda, Sanjay Mishra, Shweta Tripathi and Vicky Kaushal have done excellent job for the perfection in the movie.

The movie has received appreciations for its plot and the portrayal of lives.
