Story
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is all about the important aspects that happen in the life of Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni. Neeraj Pandey made sure that he did not miss any important instants right from his childhood till date. The story is about a Ranchi guy Dhoni who dreams of making it big in cricket, faces the hurdles, crosses the barriers and achieves his dream. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story showcases his life as a kid, a aspiring guy, a ticket collector and the most successful Indian cricket captain. Analysis
The first half of the film completely focusses on the struggles that Dhoni faced in his life. The director made sure that the film has interesting run time for the important aspects in his life. All his struggles during his early days have been showcased well. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is all about an emotional journey of MS Dhoni which has been projected well on screen. However the first half looks slow and dragged abit. But on the whole, the first half is sure an impressive part if you ignore the length of the film.
The second half of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has many desperate moments that happen in the cricket dressing room and cricket politics along with Dhoni’s relation with his teammates. Most of the episodes have been narrated with utmost clarity and the film has been carried on well by Sushant Singh Rajput with his flawless and outstanding performance. However the film dips down at parts but on the whole, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has an interesting and inspiring second half.
Performance
Sushant Singh’s efforts kept for the film have been completely visible on screen. He looked extremely convincing in each and every episode of the film. Not even a single second, he lost his grip as an actor and Sushant is all set to receive a standing applause for his performance in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. He nailed it with his typical body tone and in the helicopter shot. Kiara Advani and Disha Patani have been completely apt for their roles and they delivered a decent performance. Their chemistry with the actor has been well balanced. Bhoomika Chawla and Anupham Kher have been extremely supportive.
Neeraj Pandey managed to collect all the important aspects of Dhoni’s life and he then framed them into a film. He made sure the entire story has been gripping and the narration has been strong enough. The dialogues looked extremely pleasing and the music has been apt. The cinematography looked stupendous and the production values made the film lavish. Neeraj Pandey should be lauded for his directorial abilities.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is sure a film that reveals many struggles and inside facts of the most successful Indian cricket captain’s life. A decent one time watcher.
