Analysis :
The first half of Airlift starts up well with the narration of the characters. The movie takes pace slowly and gets interesting. The director made sure that he did not indulge any unwanted entertainment which makes the complete first half impressive. The pre interval and the interval episodes have been narrated well which makes the film quite impressive.
The second half of the film is the show stealer completely. Yes, there are dips in between, but the other episodes have been shot exceptionally well which makes the second half of Airlift bring a lot of impact. Though the evacuation episodes have been wrapped up in fast moves, the climax of Airlift sure ends up on a stupendous note.
Performance :
Akshay Kumar stands forward in experimenting and Airlift will sure end up as one of the best films in his career. He has done the character of Ranjit Katiyal with ease and his performance is the major highlight of the film. Nimrat Kaur will sure make big in Bollywood soon. Her stunning presence and performance should be mentioned specially. All the other actors have been decent with their assignments.
The story of the film is short and stupendous. The screenplay of the film has been gripping enough and the dialogues have been written well. The music and the cinematography are the major highlights of Airlift. The background score elevated the film well and the editing has been smooth. The production values have been grand enough and Raja Krishna Menon should be appreciated for his flawless direction and he sure knows the pulse of the audience.
Final Word:
Airlift is a must watch film to watch this weekend. Akshay Kumar at his best. A raw action drama.
