Story
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is about the story of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi (Salman Khan) who is a huge fan and disciple of Lord Hanuman. He shifts to New Delhi for his earnings and he falls in love with Rasika (Kareena Kapoor). At this time he catches the sight of Shahida aka Munni (Harshali Malhotra) who is from Pakistan. Shahida will be left alone when she comes for a visit to Delhi with her mother. The rest of the movie is how Pawan takes the responsibility to reach her parents in Pakistan. Watch the film to know about the rest.
Analysis :
The first half of the movie has been slow and the narration lacks entertainments. The songs have been shot well and there are fun filled elements that bring laughs. The emotional episodes have been carried quite well and on the whole the first half of the movie has been decent throughout.
The second half of the movie takes many dips and downs which makes the movie uninteresting. The audience expect Salman Khan style entertainment which is not at all seen throughout. The pre climax episodes lack the needed feel and on the whole the complete second half has been ok.
Performance :
Salman Khan who is a power packed performer has been completely restricted as a fan of Lord Hanuman. His humorous side has been kept in aside throughout the movie. Kareena Kapoor Khan impresses as Rasika though she has limited screen space. Harshali Malhotra has been very good throughout the movie and is one of the highlight of the movie. Nawazzudin takes the second half to the higher level with his performance. All the other actors have been decent.
The story of the movie has been thin lined and has nothing interesting to reveal. The screenplay and dialogues have been decent and the cinematography has been eye catchy. The locales of Kashmir have been well projected and the editing has been ok. The production values have been grand enough and Kabir Khan comes up with a decent notch with Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Final Word: Bajrangi Bhaijaan has great emotional content that can impress the audience and Salman Khan carried the film on his shoulders. A decent one time watch.
