Story
A long term revenge and fire story associated with Raghu (Varun), who lost his wife Misha (Yami) and daughter. They were actually murdered during a robbery in a bank by Layak (Nawaz) and his partner in crime Hurman (Vinay Pathak).
After this Hurman escaped with the money, but police caught Layak and sentenced 20 years imprisonment. After 15 years Shobha (Divya Dutta), helps Raghu in knowing Hurman identity.
This time Layak is suffering from cancer and Raghu came to know Hurman killed his wife and kid. Raghu tortures Hurman and his wife Kanchan( Radhika Apte) before brutally murdering. The remaining story you have to see on screens.
Analysis :
Sriram Raghavan’s direction is ultimate with sequence and proper usage of dialogues. Nawazuddin acted at his best, we can see his performance better than that of Varun. Every character is properly linked to the story. The movie is technically sound, music by Sachin-Jigar collaged with the situations and timing. The technical aspects are fantastic but movie looks dull as per the story required. First half looks some how dull.
Performance :
Varun Dhawan’s angry role and his methods to torture the Hurman and his wife Kanchan( Radhika Apte) are highlight. While actual credits must be given to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who really played at his best with matching body language and dialogues. His emotional performance for Jhimli played by Huma Qureshi is also mesmerizing. Yami Goutham looks beautiful and had a short time on screen.
Final Word:
A different story cannot be missed if you love intense dark flicks.
