Following the rumors of Aamir Khan being removed as the Brand Ambassador of Incredible India, a statement was issued by the Ministry of Tourism claimed that it was false news. A specific mention in the statement said that Aamir is no more associated with Incredible India due to the end of his contract and not because of he being removed from it.

Aamir himself gave a clarity to the matter in a statement to the media saying that, "It has been an honour and a pleasure for me to be the Brand Ambassador for the Incredible India campaign for the past 10 years. I was happy to be of service to my country, and will always be available for it."

He continued saying that, "It is the prerogative of the government to decide whether they need a brand ambassador for any campaign, and if so, who that ambassador should be. I respect the decision of the government to discontinue with my services. I am sure they will take all appropriate steps to do what is best for the country."

He finally signed off saying that India will remain Incredible even if he is a brand ambassador or not, and that's the way it should be.
