The National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut has shared her view on the paid publicity by the movie makers on the media spaces like blogs, news room, and print. She said that the paid entertainment news would harm the business aspect of movie craft, where she came across the mouth publicity as secret of success of her movie Queen.
She has taken the platform of Anupama Chopra's book 'The Front Row: Conversations On Cinema' launching to share the views in reply to questions raised. "I feel they (paid media stories) are very harmful for the business aspect of our craft. You spend so much to buy these media net stories or full page ads to build perception...you can rather save this money and put it in the making or marketing of the film" said Kangana who also spoke for the small budget films.
The movie makers are entering all the spaces to highlight the low worthy concepts and movies for gaining revenues with this kind of side way. The paid shows and advertisements making the movie lovers to watch the film at the beginning, but upsetting the cine-goers.
